Do people take shorter men less seriously or feel awkward being seen with them?

I think some people do, unfortunately. Height can affect first impressions, especially because society puts so much emphasis on men being tall. But I don't think being short automatically means people won't take you seriously.

Confidence, personality, how you carry yourself, and how you treat people matter much more once someone actually gets to know you. And personally, I wouldn't feel awkward being seen with a shorter guy if I liked him. Why would I?

You seem like quite a nice person.
I don't think I do have that great of a personality. I do think getting better at talking to people is a learned skilled. I'm really bad at long conversations, but I think pretty good at reading body language/reading the room/judging what kinds of jokes might be appropriate/etc. That came from 3 years working as a cashier and seeing people's body language and trying to make quick little friendly comments to them and talking to my coworkers and also trying to join social groups.

see and thats the thing I used to be so good at it like awesome at communicating with people when I was in my mid 20’s and now it’s like its atrophied for whatever reason because i’ve always been around people and talked but it’s like its more difficult to now. I don't know it’s weird.

I might the same way, although I think I'm still pretty decent at judging body language. It definitely seems tougher to be around groups of people as I get older.

Some definitely do. That's why taller men on average tend to be CEOs, or placed in other positions of high power.
