When girls ignore a guy, do they emotionally disconnect with them?

A lot of girls say they will ignore a guy on purpose so they will chase him, but when they ignore the guy, do they also emotionally disconnect with him?

And if the guy does not show any interest and doesn't chase them, do girls tell themselves that if he didn't chase them then he is not worth it anyway, and get rid of the connection?

My mom always told me NOT to call boys. So sometimes, even if I want to talk to a guy (before I was with my current bf) I would not call them unless I really needed to. If they didn't call me, then I figured they weren't all that interested and the connection is lost. I know, it sounds old fashioned, but I still think the guy should be making most of the effort in the beginning. When girls chase a guy it just seems kind of pathetic.

If I'm mad at my boyfriend, I won't even answer the phone and he'll have to come over. He knows something's up when I don't answer the phone or return his texts. And if he never came over in those situations, it would most likely be over. This has only happened a couple of times and he was over within 24 hours. I don't feel as though it's a game, I just feel it's the guy's position to make the next move.

If I honestly feel as though it was my fault that we got in an argument, then I would eventually go to his house - but it might take a week.

If I ignore a guy it's for a reason. I don't believe that a girl will ignore you if she wants you to chase her. She will ignore you if she doesn't like you. She will ignore you because of something you did. She will ignore you for something you didn't do. There's always a reason and it's NOT because she wants you to chase her!. You will begin to appear different in her eyes. So yes eventually the connection will be gone. This goes for guys as well I think it's human nature. I don't believe in this chase thing!

I think you are a little bit wrong... yeah! most of the time girls ignore guys beacuse something the did or didn't do but it's a fact well known that Women/Girls play sometimes the "ignore-card" just to make sure they are really interested... that makes them chase you more & interested & in the process the girl enjoys it, feel proud. I know it's a stupid game & I hate it, it's a turn off. But it's a fact & it works. It depends in the Age, Mentality, Personality, etc. It's called psychology 101.

You pretty much have this concept down. You're right on target with the ignoring thing. Personally, if a man shows interest in me by a look, talking, buying me a lemonade...whatever, I will show interest even if I don't want to date the person. I think the ignoring thing should have played itself out by the time a person is about 30. Just saying...

If I have a connection with a guy and I want him it takes me a long time to get over that I can't just decide to stop the connection. If I have not heard from the guy in a fairly long time then yes I am going to try to forget about him. Girls love to be chased and from what I know guys like to chase the girls so this is why a girl would back off. Otherwise she just may not be interested at all.

I tend to emotionally disconnect with guys when I don't see them or talk for awhile. But I don't cease contact to emotionally disconnect.
