There is this girl that keeps asking me this. She's a good friend of mine (though certainly not friend zoned).

she either likes you and wants to know if you like her back so in this situation then yes if you like her tell her :)

or she may have a freind that likes you and because she is closer to you than her freind she might be asking as a favour... but I probably still wouldn't do it even if it was for my best freind in the world because it could lead to unwanted situations...

so yea it's most likely she is asking because she likes you but personally I try to avoid asking anyone that question because I am scared of the answer.

or as someone said she could just be curious and want's to know who you like, to get closer to you or something

She could either be "curious", or she could be fishing for info because she secretly likes you and wants clues as to how/if she should make a move. Do you like her? If so, let her know!
