What does it mean when a girl asks a lot of questions about you?

OK, so I met this girl at school today. I made a dumb comment (basically saying hey what's up in an awkward way). She laughed and then we started talking. She told me she was in the cafe waiting for a class. But then she was asking a bunch of questions about me, like my major and what class I had next. Usually I find that girls answer questions with 1 word answers, but she was really interested in keeping the conversation going.

She kept asking questions about me, not personal, but related to school and seemed really interested in the answers. We were still talking but I had to go to my class, and she seemed pretty disappointed that I had to leave.

I just don't want to assume anything. She's a very good looking girl and I'm an average looking guy (though with confidence). I've never had a very attractive girl like me before.

Drop that thinking. You should never assume what someone does or doesn't find attractive. That can only lead to diminished self confidence when confidence could be what makes you attractive to that person. As a girl I can say we can become interested in guys we didn't even think we would fancy in a hundred years because of a hundred different qualities other than looks. And I hate when less attractive guys with low self esteem rule themselves out because "Oh she's too pretty to want me." so they avoid the girl who is interested in them, making her think he doesn't like her. You don't know what anybody wants.

If she's asking a lot of questions, it could be a sign of interest or it could just be she's a talker. Guys can be too quick to assume good conversation skills means she likes him. But it can mean that she's genuinely interested in getting to know you. Usually I'll make polite, very small talk with a dude I have no interest in whatsoever, but will want to keep the conversation going with someone I'm attracted to.

Usually if a girl asks a lot if questions about a guy, regardless of topic, it means that they have an interest in the guy. Either they are attracted to the guy or they are genuinely find him interesting.

You should ask her to hang out to find out her feelings. She probably has a crush on you but she might only see you as a potential guy friend.

You could have said "I have to get to class but if you want to get to know me better we should hang out off campus sometime. I know I'd like to get to know you better as well."
