I only tried website design for a few hours on geocities which was a windows computer. I am suspicious about how difficult Mac would be for coding cause I would assume there would be high security blocks for unverified websites. Reason being, I bought my first MacBook 15 years ago cause I was told they do not get viruses and I did not want my data to get deleted by a virus the way it did when I used windows.

Out of these two... I'd have chosen Mac if didn't cost an arm and a leg (or simply a kidney) to get one. The best OS for programming will most likely always be Linux. Now, Mac is somewhat sinilar to Linux, given that they both conform to basic UNIX requirements. Given that Mac costs an arm and a leg to get, though... It might be better to opt for Windows. It's less strict regarding security, so it's easier to run wild if You want to play with Assembler.
Unless you want to program for the cutting edge, especially in the gaming sector, MacOS programming is more fun. The tools are nicer and more intuitive (Xcode), you have the best native tools for iOS programming and the more elegant C-dialect (Objective C).
Windows has more diversity in tools and programming languages.
as an environment macOS is much better than Windows... unfortunately Windows terminal is still imperfect and addressing is shit...
I use MacBook pro as my work machine, nothing is easier to set up...

I think the biggest factor is what you are programming FOR - i. e., which platform your program is going to run on and which language you are going to use to program it. Some jobs will be much better suited to being programmed on a given OS than others.
Neither. Linux.
Look at all this cuckware, that Windows has become.
Mac is honestly awful because they donβt like user operability. If programming is your thing, Microsoft for sure.
Windows is better for not running into a situation where you can't do something. Mac is more comfortable for the less hardcore coder.
I can't honestly tell the difference. Once the environment is set up it's all the same, to me.
Linux is probably best followed by Windows unless you are doing design/UI/UX then Mac is probably better.
Depends on your preference but I'd say Windows
neither are programming. use python as common.
i doubt it matters unless you're trying to do like game type shit
Windows by far, especially with WSL2 when you can also use Linux.
it is more dependent on what programming language you are using
There are no big differences. Systems will work smoothly only if it has 16-32 GB RAM or above. All softwares are available for download for both Mac and windows systems.
I feel windows is the one to go with it kinda made for programming while Mac is made just for relaxing watching YouTube and playing games.
Hell I'm just a Windows / Microsoft 🪟 🖥οΈ 💻 worshipper 💚 💛 β₯οΈ 💙 🖤
I am a frontend developer (professional title but fullstack skills-wise). I prefer a Mac. Most of my colleagues prefer Mac.
For programming I think Windows or Linux.
windows in my opinion
Linux is better for programming
Linux is better than either.
Windows is dead for me few years back
