Which do you prefer, Mac or PC?

I am only asking about the Hardware you like, not the operating system. If you download Linux and install it to one of them, that's fine. I am not asking what operating system you prefer, just whether you like Macs or PCs. I love using google pixel phones for their titan m2 chips and security features, but I don't use the StockOS that comes with the phone I use CatalystOS.

Google has the money to make some pretty nice and secure hardware, but I don't use their software. If you use Linux on your Mac I get it I don't care if you use Linux or the base operating system, just what do you like to use.

I have both, and I prefer Mac overall, for many of the reasons listed in the video you posted. Compatibility is only really an issue for gaming, for which I have my gaming PC.

Compatibility is actually more of an issue for my PC, as I am used to the compatibility my 2 Macs (Airs) have with my iPhone, iPads (2), and each other. The PC is more of a PITA when it comes to transferring files. But it's nice for video editing as well as gaming, and I browse the internet with either one.

I also previously owned a couple (Asus and Acer) Chromebooks, which are a great economic choice, and the battery life was good as well.

Personally, I still use Windows, I've been using it since I started building PC's in the late 80's, could never get away with Mac as the hardware has a nasty habit of going tits up, but saying that the last two iterations of Windows have not been built with the home user in mind who are used to a certain style of GUI.

There are more people out here still running WIN 7 even though it is no longer being up dated mainly because the they do not like the GUI of WIN 10/11, and that they cannot afford new hardware that WIN 11 requires, if only Microsoft would just give people a basic OS without the bells and whistles that they "think" people want, and leave it up to their customers to add what features they want/need,

I have even heard of People going back to WIN XP because it runs the programs they use unlike WIN 10/11 or they are considering leaving MS completely to one of the more usable Linux Distros.

Pc by far. I actually built my own computer. It's very sweet with a tempered glass side panel and a few rgb fans. There is always something about coming home from a long day and powering up my desktop and seeing the rgb lights it feels like Christmas every time.

PC. Much more bang for the buck and far greater hardware customizability even for notebooks if you know how to stop around.

The only reason to me to buy Apple hardware is if you like the OS. There's absolutely no compelling reason otherwise to me to spend the extra money.

In terms of just hardware, my vote has to go to the PC, but most of the prebuilt PCs sit at a comparable price point to the Macs. Macs generally use mid range hardware that's been "optimized" (whatever the hell that means) to the MacOS. The primary reason you (should) buy Macs is that software-hardware integration. Otherwise you're wasting your money. That ecosystem makes for a more reliable user experience.

I've worked with both, and we use an old PC (286!!!) at church library. Hopefully, this will be replaced by a pad soon, but I'm not holding my breath. (In the meantime, I use my iPhone to look up stuff in LibraryThing. com, a great, free resource. )

Right now my wife uses a Mac laptop and I have a mini-mac at my desk.

Neither, I prefer Linux. The only reason I even bother with Windows is because most of the things I use personally aren't compatible which is a shame. I hear there is a lot of effort in changing that though.

Mac only really works if you're all in the whole ecosystem. Otherwise you've just got an expensive PC.

I like them both. The tower I had was a PC with really good parts, but anything handheld/portable is an Apple product

I have both. I still use a 2012 MacBook Pro (A1278) to record music, but my workstations would work just as well with the right software.
