What does it mean if a guy stares at you while dancing with another girl?

This cute guy kept staring at me while he was dancing with another girl and he wasn't looking at anything else because he had his eye on me for most of the night. He had a straight expression on his face when he did this but was he trying to make me jealous or trying to tell me something different through his eyes?

and I was dancing with one of my friends who's a girl so its not like he was jealous unless he wanted to dance with me.

I think he might like you and you are probably more interesting to him than his girlfriend.

Like if you see somebody you like, you can't just leave like that. You don't know how it will work out with the new girl that you are interested in, whether she is a good person or whether she will treat your poorly. Whether she is single or in a relationship. Whether she is interested or not. What you will miss out on, if things don't work out with this new girl and you've already left the one you are with. What other people will think of you if you date too many people in a certain period of time. How the break up will affect the social dynamics that affect you and other people.

Whether what you've invested in her and what she's invested in you is worth giving up or can be salvaged if he does give it up etc...

So just because he was with another girl does not mean he wasn't interested in you or likes you but it might mean that he won't leave her for you.

But maybe feels like you might reject him?
Maybe smile at him or give him the look , so he knows your interested
