Girls, how much confidence does it take to wear daisy dukes or short shorts?

I see a lot of girls wearing them down here in the southern part of Texas. I'm just curious as to how much confidence is required to wear them out in public. I'm sure it's a completely different situation than guys wearing shorts because we aren't showing off almost all of our lower torso. Also, do you or have you ever worn these shorts public and do they make you feel uncomfortable and like guys are checking you out or what goes through your mind?

I don't really feel comfortable wearing really short shorts because in some situations you end up showing your butt cheeks to everybody. Like when you bend down or squat or whatever. Plus sometimes if I see a lot of guys checking me out I feel self-conscious and awkward. So I generally steer away from short shorts and tend to wear stuff like this link link link so they cover up my ass without being too long or anything.

Im guessing a lot for some and none for others.

For a lot: They might feel insecure or something and for them to wear daisy dukes it makes them build up their confidence.

For none: They just want to show of their body and how happy and proud they are about it.

As for me wearing daisy dukes or short shorts, I wouldn't. Because I don't want creeps staring at me. I mean its nice having dudes stare at you and complimenting you but its awful having 40 year olds creeps saying how nice legs you have or how nice your but looks like. And well don't wear them because I don't like pedos>.<

Being 5'8 I'm pretty tall in the suburb I live in. I see a lot of short people wearing daisy dukes and it looks completely fine, but when I wear it, I just feel really self-conscious especially when guys look me up and down. :/ The disadvantages of being tall.

it can take a lot of confidence because many people will judge you by how they fit you and your leg structure and tone. for some girls it's nothing because they have a great figure but for others who don't have model looking legs they may feel very insecure and not want to wear them because they're embarrassed, if they do they still worry bout what other people are thinking when they're out.

I honestly don't think too many people actually sit there and judge girls on how the shorts fit them, their leg structure, and tone. I think that's what girls think other people do and why they avoid wearing them. I think it's a mental thing.

I just think of how good their legs look in the shorts and if they don't catch my attention or they're just not the type I'm into, I just look somewhere else. I'm not going to sit there and criticize their legs, I have better things to do.

Well I think it just depends on your figure. I have really big thighs so naturally my legs are kind of big, but not in the sense where they look like two-by-fours. They're big and very curvy along with a decently round bottom. Having a nice butt in combo with nice legs though makes the figure look killer though when worn with daisy dukes.

Well I guess it's because you feel comfortable in your body. I think a lot of girls don't feel confident, so the refrain from wearing shorts like that. Some girls say it's not a confidence issue, though.

one of the only things I'm not insecure about at all would be my legs so wearing short shorts is just something I do and don't even think about. I am not uncomfortable in them and I like how they look. but I do still like to keep it classy; none of my shorts are short enough that my butt is hanging out or anything.

none, I wear them all the time, it's hot over here so I'm not going to wear pants, I wear them out in public all the time, as long as they're not so short that your vagina is popping out I don't think there is any problem with them, and when guys check me out, it kinda makes me feel good about myself, but other times it makes me a little uncomfortable

well it doesn't take any confidence for me, I don't know about other people, so I guess you could say I'm just extremely comfortable with my body, and I live right outside chicago, so it's not as hot here as it probably is down there, but it hasn't been lower than 95 in weeks

I think about half of the other girls who've answered this question say that they don't really feel comfortable wearing them or some sort. I guess it just depends. Yeah, it's been hot all over the U.S lately except for the west coast. You guys just have dry heat up there in Chicago or is there a high humidity level too?

Those legs aren't bad. I personally like thicker, more athletic looking legs. That's why I find softball and volleyball players hot. I thought it would take quite a bit of confidence.

It all comes down on how you feel about them, though. It sure is pretty damn hot in Texas right now. This is better than last summer, though.

Well those aren't really bad at all. I tend to like thicker legs and thighs. Like I said, there's plenty of other guys out there who do too. I would most definitely choose the first link to the second one. I'm pretty sure the girls with legs like the second link wish they had legs like in the first link. haha

I'm short though and my legs are like the ones I show you so I always do the bend over trick. If I bend over and stuff can be seen, too short. But I'm short so the shorts tend to compliment my height

Bermudas are a little shorter than Capri shorts/pants. They're mid thigh, slightly above the knee but for some reason more fitting
