Could this girl like me or am I imagining things?

Theres this girl who is very nice and friendly in general. She is always smiling and laughing with people. We get along although at first she was a sarcastic smartass and would call me names and tease me all the time. Recently we've been talking more and although she still calls me names and makes fun of me, we can have these long conversations but now instead if appearing "annoyed" she is just looking into my eyes and giving me really big smiles, sometimes she gives me those "coy" smiles but it seems like now she smiles and giggles all the time while we are talking her smile pops up whenever we see each other.

Like you said, she is friendly but I have never seen her like this. She is a lot more playful now and I can "feel" there's something here because of the way she looks at me. Did I finally break her defenses? Because before it was really hard to get her to laugh or smile at me

Everything you've mentioned says that she likes you.

I am the girl in this exact same situation, and I can tell you what she's thinking.

She's wondering whether or not you know (and probably wondering how much more obvious she has to be to make sure 100% that you do know - she might even be considering telling you straight up, but its unlikely she'll do it because it takes balls. She'll probably keep hinting by doing things that obviously show that she likes you).

She's also wondering if you like her or not because logic says if you like her, and you realize that she likes you, you'd do something about it.

If you like her, I think you should save her from second guessing herself and do something because she does like you.

If you don't like her that way you should probably say something so she isn't misled.

Its not so much the rejection, its more about she getting "weird" and not talking to me. It has happened to girls in the past, so it'd be cool to be sure before I make a move, but that's very difficult :P lol

Why do you think she acts hot and cold, Because of what she sees. You can't do that, That's why I no longer care about this guy who did the same thing. Nobody has time for that.

Yes she does like you everything you said in your post says that she likes you, she lights up every time she see you is a dead give away to me that she has feelings for you as more than a friend. You are not imagining anything go for it man.
