A question for you Introverted women out there...

Alright, so I've been talking to this girl for awhile now. she's extremely introverted, and has never dated before. Which is odd, as she could have any guy she wanted. But, that's beside the point.

Anyways, things were going great, we went out to dinner which went very well, and as we were splitting up she asked me when I was leaving to go back to my university, and said we should meet up before we both go back...

But now whenever I text her(not often, nor do I reply quickly usually) she does not reply. Or she takes a day or two, and will reply to a message with 'Sorry! I was blah blah blah so I didn't text back until now'. And That will be the last message she sends.

If she were any other girl, I would take it as a hint to kindly f*** off, however with her I'm not sure. Does she just want me to call her? (I'm heavily an introvert as well, and there are few things I dislike more than phone-calls)

Anyways, what do you all think?

I'm much older but here's what I think for anyone going through something similar. I've dated and am dating an introvert presently, and what you're writing has fundamentally nothing to do with being an introvert on her side.

What I mean is, if you don't feel it or you think something isn't right, just be relax, indicate what you want and if no response, just walk away.

From many experiences, introverts and not responding have nothing in common per se. If a girl is interested, you'll know or feel it and the talking and messaging will happen.

As I think you're similar to me, you need a retroaction and that's fine. If the current girl or any other girl isn't bring it, then go somewhere else.

If there's one peace of advice here, find what you need, nothing more. Most introverts I've dated has no problem contacting me back rapidly or with joy. Introverts are more likely to be "unique" when it comes to parties or situations when there's a lot of people around them; then they may need a "break:" from the noise and so on.

Key to a successful relationship is retroaction. Love, be loved.

I'm in such a similar situation, and I hate it :(. (Basically the exact same situation except I wouldn't classify myself or this girl as introverted.) We used to text a lot and have dated a couple times. But now I don't text her often, and don't usually reply quickly (and the texting less often and less quickly began with her actually), but often she doesn't reply at all or takes a day or two to reply, and gives a bullsh*t reason like being busy.

And yeah, if she were another girl, I'd take it as a hint to kindly f*ck off, too. But I know she's interested, which pisses me off because she's obviously playing mind games.

My advice to you is to try and organize another date, and hopefully yours will be better than mine and actually reply properly to it, and not end up cancelling last minute haha. If she doesn't reply properly, then stop acting interested, and make her wonder if you're starting to be less interested because of her communication habits.

Yeah organize a date first. Only start acting uninterested if she doesn't make much effort in planning the date. But acting uninterested doesn't mean cutting off communication. It just means not making an effort NOT to have sh*tty conversations - like, if she says "hi", say "hi" back instead of asking how she is haha.

Even though she is an introvert I don't think she is that interested. An introverted person that is interested in you would be waiting by her phone constantly waiting for you to call. my suggestion is that if you are a shy person you will be more compatible with a woman who is loud and outgoing. Many men are afraid to approach these women because they are intimidating. I myself am fairly outgoing and loud and loves having a lot of friends and I am mostly attracted to shy men and would be incredibly flattered if one approached me. In fact I am dating a shy guy right now and I couldn't be more in love :)

I am not shy. Not in the slighest. I am introverted. The two are entirely unrelated. And If I was in a relationship with your typical extroverted female, I would probably blow my brains out within 3 weeks. They are anything but intimidating. They are easier to read and not all that hard to understand(usually). And She is notorious for being sh*t about texting back, to anyone and everyone. She could very well be uninterested, but why say she wanted to see me before we leave?

Man I have no clue. But I do know that if I don't want to talk to someone, I DON'T text them back, especially not later with an "I'm sorry I didn't text back." That's just me, though.

If I were in your situation, I wouldn't CALL her per se (I too hate phone calls), I would just text her, "So do you still want to hang out again before we go back? I've got some free time coming up" and then the ball's in her court to either tell you when she's available OR make up an excuse :P

As a introvert I feel your telephone calling pain. Despite that I picked B, because I think you need a direct approach to determine if she's interested or not. It's gonna be nerve racking, but if you plan out what you're gonna say beforehand it should go a little smoother. This way you can get a direct answer and the 'what if's' or the 'maybes' can stop eating away at you.

She has a lot of worries and maybe insecurities, seeing as she's never dated before. I think it'd be good for her if you told her outright what you'd like for the future. Not all serious like "I want 3 kids and a white housem" but I just mean like, "I want to seriously date you" or something.

I think men and women are the same when it comes to the phone. As in, if she's not replying and providing vague "excuses," it's time for you to focus on having a great semester at university. Women are not always as complicated as men think ;). And congrats on being bold enough to ask the shy girl out, especially while being introverted yourself and making her feel comfortable enough to agree to a date in the first place. You did get something out of this, after all.

Bullsh*t women aren't as complicated as men think. hahah. Some may not be, but this one is 19, has never dated before, and is easily a 9/10 in looks with a 9/10 personality. Her excuse was vague at all actually, and I knew she was going to be doing it at any rate(what she used as an excuse). The not replying after that messages is what is confusing me. However, I've no problem having a good time at university, I just can't seem to find anyone worth going on more than 3 dates with there

It could be different for her though, so maybe give it one last shot and just ask her what's going on.

Ah. I know what you mean. But, I mean even with the information you've been given by her, you don't know where she stands. So I think more personal communication will clear that up. :) Its better to know than be left hanging. Sometimes its better to put yourself out there and risk it without knowing at all, even if it results in hurt.
