What age do you think we truly look like men and women?

supposedly when we reach 18 we are classified as adults. but mentally and physically we are still pretty much immature and look too young in my opinion.

I am 21 and I don't feel I look like a true adult at all, neither do the majority of my friends. Guys who are 30 years old in my opinion tend to be the ones who look, act and actually sound more manly then 20 year olds. It seems like our voice of a man comes to us when we are around the 30 year old mark (Generally around mid 30)

Men begin to look like adults at about twenty seven,  and women at about twenty three. I believe that a person should begin acting as an adult at thirteen. Granted,  most of society will not treat them as such,  but their maturity should arise at that point. Your older friends seem more adult simply because they are more experienced in adult life than you. They've had more adult experiences; good and bad. They have gone to college, held full time jobs,  possiblybeen drunk or had sex. While you accept that you are now an adult,  you have not yet dealt with the pleasure and hardships that accompany this new stage of your life. My advice to you is to embrace your adulthood gladly, but always keep your youthful demeanor. You were a child for a reason: hold onto your kindness, innocence, and imagination while handling your newfound responsibilities will bring you happiness in abundance. Do not fret that you don't feel like an adult as there will be plenty of time for that. Simply act like one.

I'm in the same boat! I am 21 and still feel like 16, but with all of the adult responsibilities like bills, work, groceries, etc. In my opinion it isn't all age, it is in how you hold yourself. People USED to look like a "man" or "woman" when they reached their mid 20's, but with all of this age defying sh*t people are doing it's getting older. I mean, Shakira looks 18. Physically, your face tends to look more "adult" I suppose when you reach your 30's. I won't see that for at least 15 years. It's all in how a person acts.. My boyfriend, aged 20, looks very young, but he acts like he is at least 29.

Completely and truly physically, as if we all walked around naked and had no make up or anything. I would say mid 30's is when you start to look more like an adult. :)

Leonardo did look like a young kid in his 20s then grown  up in his 30s. But Dwayne looked like a man in his 20s and 30s. I think it depends on how overall look like muscles,facial hairs, and etc. But people began too look grown up at dif ages like some  people in high school.

I'm 21 and I coach HS freshman baseball and I tend to get mistaken as a player... which means I get mistaken for being 14-15 years old. I've even ID when I went to buy a lighter. You must be at least 16 years old to by a lighter. I asked the cashier lady as I was handing her my ID, "I don't look like I'm at least 16 years old?" She responded with, no.. you look younger than my 17 year old son. Looks at my ID, see it says 21 and she said this is a fake. I told her it wasn't so she took a blue light thing and did something to the back of the ID and said, Sorry sir. I have a baby face, but my upper body is definitely that of a man, I'm pretty filled out...and when I'm clean shaven I look like a big kid, but if I have my beard I look my age.

I think around mid to late 20's for both guys and girls is when they start appearing to be adults. It changes from person to person but I think that's a good age to generalize.

I felt mentally (and somewhat physically) adult when I was about 14-15 years old. This is because I have "learned" the norms and the adult way of thinking when I was younger thanks to a psychologist. Long story short, I was mute when I was young and I visited a shrink two times a week in order to get me to talk again. It  probably came from a traumatic even I experienced when I was very young.

I have no idea, but I'm 23 years old and people think I'm in my between 17-20. I think its great,but sometimes I see other people my age who look a lot older than what they really are, so I think it depends on how you carry yourself. I'm very sunny and kind of childlike so maybe that's why I look younger. My best friend, for example, she is 20 and people always tell her she looks like 25, but she is very serious and kind of mature looking.

I think starting at 25years old for guys, more around 23for girls. To me it is because guys keep a babyface for very long with the impact of facial hair/no facial hair while girls don't have that.

It is different between each person, I look like I was 17 yet I am 24 and I know a 17 year old that looks more like a 22 year old.

in my opinion Most men and women start looking like adults in their to mid to late 20s women start to develop cheekbones giving them a more womanly look Men hairline gets pushed back and become more rugged.
