Do you feel self conscious wearing a mini skirt?

Just wondering if girls felt self conscious wearing mini skirts or were quite comfortable with it.

I think they do mainly because when I see them go into the women's restroom they look at themselves in the mirror, turn around check out their own arse eh hem...ohhh my arse is so cute in this skirt...make kissy faces to their own reflection in the mirror, adjust their top...apply more lip gloss...smack...stare at self turn around again, pull skirt down. walk out...

All my skirts are mini skirts. I just find them much more comfortable than pants or skirts and easy to move in. All my skirts are just below fingertip though so nothing too scandalous. What does make me uncomfortable is the comments. Today I wore my casual denim skirt and I got 2 "damn" yells, 3 whistles, and one "woah" ... Idiots.

I felt fairly conscious wearing a skirt, but that's because my legs are really hairy. :\ So I'd assume a mini skirt would feel the same. Skirts just don't suit me unfortunately. :(

yea, especially if its a 'flowy' type one that lifts up in the wind and I'm always trying to hold it down >.< but I don't mind the more fitted ones, but I prefer wearing stockings or leggings underneath so I'm not flashing my undies

Nah I wear skirts of all lengths all the time. Sometimes for shorter skirts I'll wear leggings under them, but that's more because I don't want to have to worry about being extra modest when running errands and such.

I only feel uncomfortable if it doesn't fit, is see through and I have on no slip, is ugly :P or if an especially rowdy group of guys happen to be walking behind me on the stairs

That being said I won't wear a skirt if I feel uncomfortable in it :)

No, not at all. I feel sexy in them. I work really hard on my butt and legs and am proud of them. I don't mind the guys admiring them. As long as they don't get too carried away.

I love mini skirts, not micro mini though. I love my legs and do not see why I should not be able to show my legs off. I am a "plus-size" (I prefer curvy) girl and think that mini skirts are amazing! Hope this Helps! =D

I prefer not to simply because I am very mobile and do not want to have to worry about having my underside be exposed, however on the rare occasions that I do wear one, it really poses me no problem in the "self conscious" dept or things.

I wore won today (I changed for theatre/dance class) and I felt fine, yes a bit self conscious but that is because I have white legs and have been harassed about in the past.

I don't feel uncomfortable: I like my legs but they tend to make my mom, dad and boyfriend uncomfortable so sadly I don't wear them and besides they aren't always appropriate.

I like miniskirts and I'm used to wear them, with or without pantyhose. I like my legs and I love show them...why not ? Guys like it. Of course, there's always the risk that somebody can upskirt me. But I don't want to be overpower by these silly  behavior s.
