Why do Tom and Jerry cartoons get so many dislikes on YouTube?

I'm really wondering, I don't see the reason. Sometimes it can be even nearly 60%. I liked the cartoon when I was a kid (in the 90s), now I'm 20.

Because it's aggressive? There are so many other aggressive and dumb cartoons as well on cartoon network.

No idea. Things like Tom and Jerry and the Looney Toons were amazing. I know that both get some racist criticism for characters liked Speedy Gonzalez, Pepe LePew, and Mammy Two Shoes, who was Tom's owner on Tom and Jerry, so that may account for some of the dislikes, but I feel like that criticism is unfounded, those characters are simply a product of the time period during which they were created, it's unfair to judge the show by today's standards, and many members of those races actually enjoyed those characters. The rest of the downvotes are probably just trolls that downvote everything. At least I hope that's what it is.

Aggressive or violent has little or nothing to do with it. It's frankly just unoriginal, and bland when you compare it to a lot of other cartoons of that era... or for that matter, just about any other era. They were boring and uninspired, and didn't have anything really creative. There's just so many others that are better.

Aggressive... Hmmm... It is a little violent, but I wouldn't dislike it because of that. Not to mention Jerry never gets touched is always Tom that gets hurt!

But, anyway I was never really fond of Tom and Jerry... It's kind of before my time not to mention the don't talk!

Really? I didn’t know. But YouTube got rid of dislikes now. YouTube has gotten so annoying, first they go for the for double adds now it’s three unskipable adds and you can’t dislike shitty videos (I’m not talking about Tom and Jerry here) because the annoying creators that upload them are too sensitive to take any criticism or being dislike bombed according to the site.

As a kid I liked Tom and Jerry, I think it’s a cute and classic cartoon

Episode where Tom dominates, jerry fans dislike them.
Episodes where jerry dominates, Tim fans dislike that video.
And since Tom is the one who got beat out most, so most of them are Tom fans disliking those videos.
