What does it mean when a girl/women looks at your crotch?

This happened while my friend was talking to one of his friends and I was sitting next him. I noticed her eyes kept darting between my crotch and my friend almost like she was forcing herself not look but her eyes kept going down there. I eventually just got up and looked out the window because I was embarrassed for her. And this isn't the first time it has happened I've noticed a few women in my workplace do this as well or something similar.

And no my fly is not open and I wear dark blue jeans so I doubt you could even see a stain.

It can be a number of things:

1. Her most comfortable level of staring obliviously at things happens to be crotch level. She's not good with eye contact.

2. You have a boner.

3. Your pants have a stain on them.

4. They're thinking sexual thoughts.

And yeah that's all I can think of. I stared at mens' crotches once. Mostly, it was because I was really bad at keeping eye contact, and also because I inadvertently stared at a girl's boobs, which I didn't even realize I was doing, so I kept it at that level with everyone else to not appear like a perv.

But I think it had the opposite effect...
