What does "hot and bothered" mean?

We were playing 20 questions and my boyfriend asks me how I feel when I see him. I say "nervous which I get butterflies you?" He says "hot and bothered". It was his turn so He asked me what my favorite food was. So I asked him "Hot and bothered? O. o" he replied "Too much?" I said "Explain" he said "I get really sweaty and shy". I'm thinking that isn't the right definition. I feel like he meant something else... we've been dating for about 6 months now. I'm his first girlfriend

Haha well there isn't really a 'trashy' way to say it. For me personally, I don't really feel comfortable straight up saying that I'm horny, so I'll just say I'm hot and bothered instead. :P

Because you didn't react positively to him basically telling you he was horny. He was deflecting. Had you started flirting he'd have continued.
