Polls: Girl's Behavior

The title is a quote I used to hear from time to time but I never truly understood the phrase. The other day I was talking to my friend about this, she said its true. Her example is Relationships and Jobs.

She went on how people tend to always try to stand by and expect things to workout if they remain loyal to someone as a friend even if their friend talks shit behind their back and steal from them yet they still call them their friend.

Example: Guy A works 8 am to 8 pm at his job everyday, Everyone loves him, he is the first person to come in and the last person to leave for years. Guy B comes in barely on time, isn't as friendly with all the other workers. Both Guy A and Guy B have the same skills yet The promotion goes to Guy B, Does that mean Guy A was naive and stupid?

Things like this happens often, Is there a thin line between them or not?

Lorde has been dating a man called James Lowe. Lorde is a White New Zealander. Lowe is a Chinese New Zealander.

When they uploaded photos as a couple to social networks, photos went viral and got lots of racist abuse.

The abuse also incorporated the following themes, possible explanations for the controversy.

1. Fans of Bieber and One Direction believe that Lorde called those boys ugly. But there’s no proof of this at all!

2. There is an age gap. Lorde is 17. Lowe is 24. That said, the age of consent in New Zealand is 16, and Lowe looks younger. From the way they interact with each other, Lorde even seems possibly more emotionally mature than Lowe.

3. Lowe has been called ‘ugly’. Lowe is certainly no looker. But I say he’s average. He’s in good shape. He looks young. And Lorde isn’t much better looking, especially when you consider she has the benefit of make-up and stylists. For a successful female musician, she’s on the less attractive side. Of course, looks shouldn’t matter in music, and she seems to have a nice enough personality. But since the topic of looks was raised, I’m just keeping it real.

So I’m not really convinced by these explanations. But at the same time I’m surprised by the intensity of the controversy. Is it really that infuriating that a white woman is dating an East Asian man? I know some white men feel intimidated by black men. Curiously, that used to be the case with East Asian men too. Hollywood used to portray East Asian men as sexually insatiable seducers of white women: ‘the yellow peril’. Some time after the Second World War (I don’t know when exactly or why), East Asian men lost that image and became stereotyped as weak asexuals. I assumed white men no longer felt intimidated by East Asian men, except intellectually. If not, why the anger from white men? And why are white women angry?

I have a theory that all people do, although I in psych classes I've taken I don't believe that there has been a study to prove it.

The argument may be made that some people have dominant personalities and some submissive, however the submissive rarely (from what I've seen) is truly submissive, they are submissive to a point, however do not like to be pushed past that point meaning they in turn want to be dominant in their own life. (I apologize if my rational sounds off I'm a little tired) anyway wondering y'alls opinions

A) Being friends first. Get to know him. Give it some time to see if hanging out together is fun.

B) Jumping straight into dating. I would prefer to just start dating and be straightforward.

C) Either is fine. No preference.

D) I want to see the results.

My girlfriend and I had been dating for six months. Two days ago, she admitted to me that she used to bully girls in her school. She stopped only when she recently graduated from high school (she's 18).

I was disgusted to hear that. Some of my friends were bullied in school, and guys tried to beat me up in school until I beat them in self-defence. Even though she’s very pretty and I’ve never had any problem with her personality before, I just can’t help seeing her as ugly now. After some reflection, I decided to dump her. I wouldn’t even be able to have sex with her now, I’m just so disgusted. Anyway, since then, she’s been sending me so many texts and voice-mails, crying and begging me to take her back. She begged me to forgive her, which made me angry, because it’s not up to me to forgive her. It’s up to the girls she tormented to forgive her. And from what I can tell, it’s only the lack of opportunity that put an end to her bullying.

I feel like a 5-year-old asking this question, but last I knew, if a gal calls you "dude", she's not interested, so I'm turning to you, GAG, because I really like this gal, we have a lot of things in common, but she's incredibly quiet, and I'll catch her looking at me quite a lot, sometimes making faces or smirks, which even my co-workers are picking up on, but I'm having a H*** of a time getting a full conversation out of her, so I don't know if she's incredibly shy or what but yeah... "no problem dude"...
