Well, I think if you were to talk about girls, you would need to refer to styles like metal and dubstep. A girl listening to Dubstep is a-ok. A guy listening to Taylor Swift will get flak from both men and women.
But anyway, there might be some. I love "The Calculation" by Regina Spektor, "Go Places" by the new Pornographers, or "Mushaboom" by Feist.
But to be honest, I would certainly feel self-conscious listening to it in public, unless I'm mostly with girls who already like me.
I admit it, I don't care. I play bass. So it doesn't matter who the performer is I listen to the groove between the bass and drums.
I like some of the Brittney Spears hits from I guess her first couple albums. Before she went crazy. Very solid rhythm.
The same with Avril Lavigne.
I find it super attractive when a guy openly likes girly music. My last boyfriend jammed to Taylor Swift harder than anyone I've ever seen.

I blast Taylor swift windows down in my car all day! Haha, I've even been caught singing along at red lights! Music is meant to move you! So no matter the style/genre if it makes you feel good, embrace it! Besides, everyone has at least one guilty pleasure song ;)
I listen to a lot of music, including opera and classical. I just normally don't play much of that stuff around my friends but I'm not embarrassed by it. I'm not into really into pop and if' my friends stumbled across Michael Bolton or Backstreet Boys on my iPod I'd be embarrassed.

I listen to Pink sometimes. I like her song "blow me one last kiss" lmao.
Taylor Swift isn't to bad either, plus she's kind of cute. And I'm definitely not embarrassed. I was blasting a song by Pink in my car the other day and one of my buddies who was in the car with me asked, "Chris.. is there something you want to tell us?"(implying that I'm gay LOL)
So i tell them, "Guys... I'm gay.." hahahah we all had a great laugh lol.

But there are some girly things that i can't even bear with it , like Sewing ;p
I'm trying to be a singer, and my idea is that you gotta accept all types of songs will give you the foundation to make music.

Nope. I like more of the "girly music" then my girl does.
I don't know if Katy Perry is in this category but I'm a huge fan of her music.
