We have more dates planned. He wants to take me to a game and also this nice restaurant aka he's mentioning several specific dates. And he calls me babe. Could he see me as potential girlfriend? Is it weird that he calls me babe? We kissed on the lips that's it so far.

No its not weird at all. There are a lot of guys who I knew and hung with and some of them did that, called me babe. I didn’t mind it, in fact I have a habit of babeing too LOL I call my friends babe, and I even call some guys babe (they don’t necessarily have to be my boyfriend.) This guy who only talked to me a few times told me “I love you.” Now THAT is weird… definitely weird and off.

I don't think it's weird at all, I know a lot of guys that call every girl babe whether they are romantic with each other or not. In your situation, he could mean something by it but he probably doesn't.
