Why are you texting me at 5 am dude? Damn!

I have a friend who texts me at 5 am sometimes we will talk for a bout... 4 min (I know, lame) and then all of a sudden we don't talk for like... a week, feels like a month later. He said he's a bad texter...(okay dude) but he ends up texting me sometimes at 5 am and I don't know if it bothers me? but it's just a bad time. I asked why he's up so early and he said he likes being up early.. well okay but why did you text me? Does anyone else go though this and what the hell does it mean? Cause I only had my other friend text me early but that was once this guy it's been twice.

I have ONE friend i'm ok with them texting me that early. She gets a pass because well, she has an eccentric personality and lives really far away. I don't expect her to ask for a ride or something where i have to get out out of bed. She's a real interesting character.

I really doubt there's anything sexual behind it. Booty calls happen around a bars last call. He probably needs to brush up on some social boundaries though.

idk... i know you're not laughing but it's kinda funny. I mean i once got a 5am text asking if it was raining where i lived. I was like "wtf... are you serious with this?" It gets worse if ignore the text lol. I'm thinking he isn't aware it's an inconvenient time to text.

Well, I would not text a 5 am but if it's waking you then just set your phone to silent before you go to sleep!!! Also don't reply to his texts, if you're replying (I don't know if you are or not) it will encourage him to keep texting. He probably is not really even thinking about what the time is to be honest and it probably means nothing apart from he just thought I am awake ill text her. Not realising what the time is.

Lol! I had to keep my phone on because if I put it on silent I would be late for my class at 8 am so it's either be late for class by sleeping in from noon or get there and not get in trouble. I am bad at waking up when there's no alarm clock.. had this happen many times and yeah, I responded because I was like, well what ever cause I have to be up at 6 anyway. the talk only lasted for about 4 min or something when we talked but this time if it happens again, then I will ignore because I am already annoyed with this lame person.

But yeah if you have not said anything to him just say can you please not text me at that hour of the morning. I would not text someone at that hour of the morning.

If he likes waking up early, it means that he's simply texting you when he wakes up. Nowadays, the first thing people do when they wake up is check their phone: reply to past messages, check on some social medias, etc. It simply means that he's replying to you.

Well yeah, I knew it's not a booty call text but even if i got a text around 2 am just responding to my text then its not on the line.. even if I did get a text at 2 am or what ever saying "hey ;)" then I would flip the whole thing and bring it back on track or sting the person.
