Morning wood is usually not associated with erotic dreams. A man's urethra is used both for urine and for semen. As the bladder fills, the prostate gland constricts on the urethra and causes an erection, which "blocks" the flow of urine from the bladder. This is why women tend to need to get up and pee during the night more than men do. (and it is the reason men are not in danger of urinating during sex!) Morning wood is just a sign that the bladder is full.

As for wet dreams, the term "wet" refers to having an ejaculation during the dream and waking up as a result. So, men don't masturbate afterwards, since they have already had their orgasm.

On the other hand, we will sometimes have a sexual dream which causes us to wake up in the middle of the night feeling aroused. Yeah, we might very well masturbate when that happens. (Hey, how else can we get back to sleep? ;)

Morning wood does not mean a wet dream. It's like waking up and feeling an urge to yawn or stretch. Morning wood's the same thing.

If I do have a wet dream though, I'd be groggy from waking up that all I want to do is to continue sleeping or stay in bed. Having a mini workout (aka jacking it off) is the furthest thing from my mind. At best, I'll try to go back to sleep again and hope the dream resumes where it left off.
