If a girl likes you but never wants to see you, does she really like you?

I met this girl through her friend but all she wants to do is text me. She says she likes me a lot but whenever I ask her to go on a date, she finds an excuse not to. Does she really like me?!

You say she's nervous to see me and she says she always just has a bad mood. That actually makes a lot of sense that she's just nervous, so what can I do to get her to see that I'm actually more fun in person than just thru text.

She doesn't like you. Think about this. When a women REALLY likes a guy, she will actually WANT to be around you. Sometimes they play hard to get, but NOT when they like a guy. Trust me on this one. There is only one way to win this one, buddy, and that's to get a pair and stop asking her on dates. If a woman likes you, she does not find an excuse to NOT hang out. She does not make a date and then bail at the last minute. She does not do these things. And you're making it worse because her interest level is low enough that she does these things and you're still pursuing her, which lowers your value. What you need to do is get out there and a) start talking to other girls, b) stop talking to this one, or only talk to her once in a while, but keep it short and sweet, and c) start doing exciting things. She will wonder what the hell happened, what all the buzz is about, and she will start to see you as being a guy of quality (why? because you're no longer chasing her). Girls say they want guys to CHASE them, but in reality they want a guy to have confidence to go after her, without having to sacrifice his manhood to do so. When you constantly chase a girl, you take all the fun out it. There is no longer any mystery. And again, to go back to interest level, if you don't believe me, ask any woman if she's ever done something she never would have otherwise done (that didn't involve alcohol). I guarantee it was because of interest level. She REALLY liked that guy. Attraction was off the charts. Her interest level is all that matters man, not yours. :)

Sorry dude, but probably not. She doesn't want to be mean (or can't be honest) so she's doing the only thing she feels comfortable doing, keeping you at arms length. IMO, move on. Plus, your texts probably just boost her ego. (Oh look, he's texting again...)

Of course she likes you...or not. She could be just busy stop trying to read into it too much but I do agree that you should go with your instincts or intution on stuff like this. But yeah, like she could just be nervous. A lot of people have friends on line that they never see but often communicate with. If it's very possible for her to see you or it's convenient for her to see you and vice versa, and she's comfortable with you, and vice versa, then why not?

otherwise, I think it's always good to have a friend or two or acquaintance like you don't have to see. It's not like a requirement to be friends with someone that you have to hang out ALL the time.

...Plus, if you are "diggin" this chick/girl/woman, why not show her that you can be a fun person? like do things and talk about things that make you look cool or impressive in front of others. :-) Hope I helped!

You really have to talk to her on the phone. Texting is an easy way out of getting in touch.

If you still haven't met her, I say she maybe keeping you for her ego (especially in your age... I used to do that when I was in high school and never meet the guy... we just texted and I would never answer the phone). She might like you but she is very childish not to come out and not to speak to you in person.

i think she does like you because if she didn't she wouldn't bother texting. but every time you ask her out, she forced to confront that possibility that you are in face a REAL person and that can be scary; she would be forced out of her comfort zone. by saying no each time you ask, she gets to stay under the covers and the fantasy you lives on.

NO ditch this bi***! She is one of those girls who uses a guy for emotional security, because she is insecure and needs reassurance that a guy likes her. She is waiting around for the guy she really wants then shell ditch you, or may string you along as a "friend." And even if you don't say how much you like her, how she's so pretty, or any othe rcompliment, us girls know when a guy likes/adores/loves use , so you just being there and her knowing how you feel is enough for her confidence. this was the scenario with my ex and i, we texted non-stop all day every day but sometimes when he'd ask me to hang out, I didn't want to. not because I didn't like him but because I would get kind of nervous and scared. so yeah I think she could legitimately like you, she could just be scared or nervous or truly busy. believe me, it happens. girls are strange and confusing creatures :)

To be honest just hang out with him! things might be a little awkward at first, but you just need some time to get comfortable around him. it get's better, it did for me. (well the relationship ended terribly but at the time it was fun haha)

See sometimes girls do this, not because their nervous, not because they don't like you, but mostly because they want you to try harder, or they just prefer not to go out, you need to just confront and talk to her, and she'll understand, just ask "why do you never want to hang out?" and what she answers could decide weather its worth it, or you should just move on and find love somewhere else...
