What does it mean when a chick says I hate you?

OK so there's this chick I know, smoking hot by the way, and well the other day, she goes here take my paper up to the front and turn it in, it was an essay for a class, and I looked at her and said no, you have legs do it yourself, and then I said when you turn in your paper, turn in mine to while your at it, and then I smiled. She looked at me grabbed her paper and mine and said I hate you, so does I hate you mean she hates me or does it mean, something more along the lines of your a jerk but I like you? I am leaning towards I like you, but I could be wrong.

Before anyone says things like be confident, get her number, be cocky, be funny, be out going or anything else, your wasting your time, I already know all that, and yes I have her number, no she's not my friend, and I don't really know her that well, all I want to know is what does I hate you really mean when a girl says that.

it means ur not giving her plenty of attention or ur doing something the wrong way, it also means there is a HUGE potential its going to be a steamy and hot relationship between you and her someday, if you proceeded on with her. man I miss that feelings it gives me chills remembering when my exes said that to me, it meant there was an emotional connection

Dont think she hates you, I sometime say that to boys too when they are teasing me/not doing the things I want them to do (just like when you said you didn't want hand in the paper for her)

It doesn't mean I hate them, or that I like him ^^ (for me that is)

She probably didn't mean it. You should have just taken the paper though and made a joke about it! It seems a little intense to refuse. She might have been trying to initiate a conversation with you!

I was a jerk because well that's a natural reaction I have when it comes to women, I have always been a jerk to women, and for some reason being a jerk opens the muffin shop aka I get laid.

She didn't mean anything.. if she really hated you, she wouldn't have taken the paper.. it was just one of those things people say to try to be funny or cute or whatever.. yea it most likely means "i like you".. but I can't tell you what degree of "i like you".. hahahah she just thought what you did wa clever.. because she asked for you to turn in the paper but then you flipped it around.. that was funny.
