What does it mean when a guy looks you up and down?

If a guy looks you up and down for like a minute and he's standing like one foot in front of you then he looks in your face and smiles and does all this when he finds out you like him what does that mean?

What does it mean? What else could it mean, he is checking you out. Doing that for a minute is kind of weird. Maybe he doesn't know how to flirt in any other way, so he's a bit unskilled. Anyway, it sounds like he likes you. I'm not sure he's got that much to offer though, has he proved himself in other ways? Has he said interesting stuff, or done nice things for you?
What message was he sending with his facial expression? He might be attracted to your body, but that's not enough. Does he respond to you as a human being, does he make you feel warm inside in a cuddly loving way, or just a let's bang kind of way? Trust your instincts.

But he really is a nice guy and does good things especially when he's around me like a lion to a kitten when he's around me and its easy to talk to him but its just that look he gave me and that it happened for a good minute he really creeped me out

Hmm, well the other stuff sounds good, but if you didn't like how it made you feel, it might be a sign of something being a little "off", but I can't tell from so little info.
Maybe that was just his way of saying "yeah, I'm attracted to you".
The smile is a sign that he likes you, as well as standing so close when he knows you like him. That's actually the best sign of all.
Different people have different styles of flirting, and it may be that is all he knows how to do to communicate it to you. I wouldn't assume anything yet, either way. Just keep spending time with him, and see where it goes. If you like him and he likes you, what's the harm?
He knows you like him now, so you don't have to do anything particular now, just be open to getting friendlier with him if he seems to be friendlier with you, y'know, don't overthink.
If I had to bet, I'd say you have a potential relationship forming, and so just work on not overthinking it all the time. It will progress naturally.
