Why do guys sweat when they make out?

So its been hot outside lately and when my boyfriend and I were making out indoors. The room inside was pretty cool what with the AC going on, anyway he started perspiring to the point that droplets of sweat were rolling off of his face onto my face. I wasn't disgusted or anything, just surprised. Anywho, I responded by half caressing his face/ swiping back his sweat from his nose and other parts of his face towards his hairline. Do you think that was weird? I mean I didn't exactly want his sweat to be randomly dripping on my face (because it tickled lol) but I also didn't know how to respond to this. Why was he sweating? Should I have stopped making out and asked if he was ok or if he needed a break to clean himself up? I mean I don't want to be rude.

If the room wasn't hot it's possible he was getting a bit hot from the kissing and a bit nervous at that fact.

See if he is nervous with you, make sure he is relaxed and doesn't feel that he is a bad kisser etc. (he could be worried about his kissing style)

Maybe he has a condition. That or, things just got so hot between you two it caused his heart rate to go up which caused sweat
