My best guy friend keeps trying to kiss me? What should I do?

So my best guy friend who I've know for years and have never had a romantic relationship with (at least I've never felt that way before) has started trying to get my to kiss him. He's been doing this for the past month we've been hanging out and so much that it's gotten really annoying. If anyone mentions kissing he keeps pushing and asking if I would ever kiss a friend and he's put his hand on my thigh. It's super weird, coming from him. How should I handle the situation and why is he acting so weird?

Take this advice; next time he does something similar say something about it. Be like:
"Look Bryan (or whatever his name is), you have been acting really weird lately, I have been feeling the vibe that you want to kiss me or escalate physically with me, and please do not tell me that I am crazy and imagining things, you know what I am talking about. Now, did I miss the chat where you told me you wanted something more than just friends? Because right now you are acting like you want something more, so what is the deal?

And then he should let you know what's up, and you can tell him you only care for him as friend. Do not feel bad, he is the one breaking boundaries.
