Why are guys suckers for big eyes?

It's a key determinant for female physical attractiveness. Youthfulness and healthiness are two of the strongest things that heterosexual guys look for subconsciously. Facial symmetry, full lips, high forehead, broad face, small chin, small nose, short/narrow jaw, high cheekbones, clear/smooth skin, large/wide-set eyes. And an attraction towards youthful looking female faces has been found to be cross-cultural.

Disney is the king of capitalizing on this. All of their princess lean heavily on all of those indicators. If you look at images that show their princesses with accurately sized eyes they look way less cute, way less approachable:

There is also evidence that adults that have those characteristics are seen as less smart but more congenial, and less likely to be guilty of crimes.

They say that the eyes are a window to the soul and that is kind of true because increase or decrease in the size of the pupil can tell us a lot of information about the person we are talking to. If you're talking to someone you like romantically your pupils will dilate. Observe the following picture.

Which picture looks more appealing to you, 1 or 2? Most of you reading this will say 2 because we subconsciously view dilated pupils as a sign of attraction. Not just men but women as well are suckers for big eyes.

Actually the eyes are darker with a bigger highlight making it more contrasting and makes the eyes pop. Just having a dilated pupil will not make the light shine brighter or bigger like that

Right, but in the picture the reason the second picture looks better is because of the shine and contrast in the eye. A shine which was added by computer and would not happen in real life just by a pupil dilating

i think its biological, in caveman days, if women had big eyes, she was more youthful and fertile and good to make babies with, so men like that... just like a baby, babies have small heads but big eyes and pouty lips, it shows beauty and innocence and youth.

Draw a simple picture of a female face. Basic obvious characteristics that make it female are big eyes, full lips, long lashes and a few others more subtle. We're programmed to notice the basics and respond to them. They're called sexual markers. Women go for height, big hands, broad shoulders, deep voice. These traits spark off a sexual response in the subconscious depending what your orientation is obviously.

If you want to get all scientific, some say it's because your eyes don't change during life, though your face does. Hence, larger eyes indicate youth, and in women, youth usually means fertility.

No, I prefer for just medium to dreamy (sleepy) eyes, and there are beautiful eyes of oriental Asian girls. Just big eyes feel like it will suck my soul.
