Why do some people call petite girls "fun sized"? And is petite a deal breaker?

Definition of petite: (of a woman) having a small and dainty build. Synonyms include but are not excluded to: dainty, small-boned, little, delicate, and small.

I always hated being merely 5'2. At 12 years old I didn't mind it but little did I know I would remain the same height at 17 1/2 years old. Recently a few guys refered to me as "fun sized". Why is that? I don't see the fun in being small which equates to being small all over even though I have a shapely figure. I am not wishing to be 6'0 feet or anything, not that its horrible, but I just wished that I was at least 5'4. Because of my height and my small framed size, I get mistaken for a 14 year old unless one were to notice my face and my 32 C cup breasts first. Is being petite a deal breaker?

It's probably just a joke comparing small girls to small candy bars (that are typically called fun sized). But most guys like petite girls, and it's definitely not something you should feel ashamed of. Be proud of who you are, whether your petite, curvy, an amazon, whatever, you're a girl, you're beautiful, and confidence, that's attractive.

In that case, I guess it's possible it may be a factor. Since most guys I see who are in that height range, are usually with girls my height or 1-3 inches taller.

@chintita I'm not judging either way -- it's just a pervasive cultural reference. Those Fun Size candies are EVERYWHERE here in the States twice a year (Easter and Halloween), and have been for as long as I can remember -- at least as far back as the late '80's, maybe even earlier.

So, it's ubiquitous enough to be harmless and inoffensive. At least, as inoffensive as something like this is gna get.
Inevitably, it'll annoy *some* fraction of the audience -- every diminutive/nickname always will -- but, my point is that it isn't *inherently* derogatory. It's embedded in the culture, like calling facial tissues "kleenex".

Of course, I am very much not short, so, I'm not in a position to say whether it would annoy me.

Don't worry I know plenty of guys that love tall women. And yeah I do see some of those couples...
