I love my boyfriend but his penis smells strong sometimes. When we first slept together it didn't smell like anything. I don't know if he showered well beforehand or what but he was good. Everything was fine. But now that we have been dating for a while I notice his smell is worse. Its not unbearable so I dont want to embarrass him by bringing it up. And I know he showers because the rest of his body smells good, his clothes are always clean, teeth are white, his hair smells SOO good all the time so I know he has to be showering because he always has to put his product on freshly clean hair to get his hair to curl up. Its just that his penis smells kind of musty and it tastes a little musty as well, and when I give him oral sex I have to hold my breath so I dont gag (I mean I do that anyway but still). Also, I only recently discovered that he doesn't wipe his penis after pissing (which apparently a lot of guys dont do), he doesn't have that many pairs of underwear (dont ask me why but I did his laundry and each pair wasn't overworn for like days. There werent stains or anything and I didn't sniff them but if they were gross I would have been able to tell). I know it isn't my own taste/smell on him because I always give him oral BEFORE we have sex. He also doesn't use towels or condoms, he doesn't shave, and he IS circumcised. I don't know if any of that makes a difference but I dont know why his penis smells. It hasn't always smelled like that so what could the reason be? And what should I do?

From experience i can tell you that male genitals require attention under the shower everyday. It is also igenic to change the underwear when it is dirty and also... wipe it after the urination process... lol. If he takes care regularly it should never smell bad

He probably masturbates from time to time and between that time and seeing you there was no shower.

As hot as that thought is I doubt it. Since we dont use condoms he has always been a stickler for showering right after sex or at least washing his penis off so that we can have more rounds. He always does this because he isn't sure if sperm can be leftover on his penis or inside and in order to not risk getting me pregnant he always washes off just in case. Im pretty sure if he had been masturbating before seeing me he would have washed his penis off knowing he had some sperm residue?

As much I have to be aware of STD, we have had unprotected sex so many times that if he were experiencing sympotoms I would be having those same symptoms but Im perfectly fine. And I dont know how to tell him I dont want to hurt his feelings. I once told him his penis smelled like a condom and he got defensive so I know he will be embarrassed about a stinky smell coming from his body. I just dont know how to tell him.

Try not to show that you think it is something disgusting nor make fun of it, but simple as a natural thing (maybe sweat or piss or both who knows what a Hell is that smell) that deserves a bit more care. It may be better to him and to you, for both as a couple. And could help prevent him from getting infections (because lack of care could actually lead to some diseases related to unhygienic habits). It's most probably the sweat - especially if he wears tight fitting underwear and if it's hot and humid on where you guys are living.

Have him wear a more loose fitting underwear.

I try he is like a little kid. He takes the vegetables out of his cheesburger, all he eats is pizza and junk. I have never seen his drink a glass of water just beer and energy drinks and soda. Could it really be his diet or are you just saying this? I want to know because I would like to try to persuade him to eat better rather than flat out tell him his penis stinks. If I can avoid it I dont want it to get to that point

The problem is his diet. It's a really bad diet, and the groin is a really sweaty area. This is one of those times when upfront honesty is the best policy.
