Guys what are reasons you’d give a girl a tight lipped smile?

So about two days ago I was walking by crush just as I walking by I got a funny text from my brother so of course I smiled looking down at my phone, and then on my way back I passed my crush again and I saw him looking at me and when I looked at him he gave me a tight lipped smile, he kinda looked upset? He usually stares a lot at me and gives me cute smiles. So I don't know why this time it was different.../: I hope I didn’t give him the impression I was texting a guy or something Iike that.

I'm no expert on this, but I think a tight lipped smile happens when someone is thinking more deeply. It's the kind of smile you have when you're having a good dream, or feeling a lot if nostalgia. The only white usually come out when there's more emotion and feels than thinking; like when being very happy, excited, or nervous. I don't know.

Lowered head, avoidant gaze, crossed arms/ scrunched shoulders, body facing away, short muted responses... You'll feel like he really doesn't want to be having this conversation.

Well his head is kinda always lowered because he’s looking down working.. his body is always facing me (even if he’s working) and he takes glances at me a lot

Your intuition may not be wrong. But I would just make clear to him that he is your significant interest. So anything other than him making you smile could be from friends or family and not a potential s/o

No not creepy at all. He seems shy but i don’t know him so I’m not sure. He does glance at me a lot, and no matter what he’s doin he’ll look at me walk by even if he’s working. He smiles at me and looks at me from the corner of his eye

Depends on the past and recent events. By that I mean is he your friend or an acquaintance and what happened before the second pass by?

There’s too many “recent events”
But some are...
1. I smiled at him directly and I think he looked too quickly at me and kinda left me hanging.. he did do a double take so maybe he didn’t see me. And he was red in the face
I was still kinda upset about it the next day so I walked by him and completely ignored him (because he maybe chose NOT to smile back)
2. And then tme looking down at my smiling phone happened.. on my way back he looked at me and his face was red again and he kinda rolled his eyes at me!! That same day but a little bit later I stopped at his job and that’s when he gave me that closed mouth smile.. he did keep looking at me tho
