Well it really depends on te circumstance in which he said it. if he is simply a guy who swears a lot or jokes around a lot this could actually be quite an endearing term in his eyes or meant as a joke. For example I know a lot of guys who call their best friends "dickhead" or "fuckface" jokingly and helps to strengthen their bonds of friendship. However he could be just an asshole who is attempting to "put you in your place". It really depends on what kind of person he is.

Well if your dating him, I'm left to assume that it's most likely his pet name for you. It is a little condescending in my opinion. But it could just be his personality and he has a hard time controlling his mouth. Where I live there are lots of relationships where they tease each other like that. It practically the norm here. However if he is overly aggressive and is mean with you in other ways, it's a sure sign you need to run.
