Guys, why does he send me pictures of himself?

Man I have started seeing likes to send me pictures of himself. For instance, he was having guys night out and sent me a pictures of himself and they guys he was with and said
Hi! Hope you're having a good evening
I replied and then he told where he was. Then he wished me a good night and that was it.
Another time he sent me a picture of himself and his best buddy having drinks at his place. It was quite late at night and we talked for a few minutes.
What does it mean when a man does that?

Maybe he was drunk? I used to chat with some random people sometimes for no reason when I'm drunk. But maybe he just wants to show you how "cool" he is. It's like when those crazy colored male birds show their feathers to the female bird and start singing and dancing to attract them. There are for sure some nice videos of it on YT
