Guys offering sympathy dates?

I know some girls will go out of their way to do a sympathy date, but do guys?

Guys: Would you actually go out of your way to spend time with a girl because she asked you to? (if you had no interest)

Girls: Have you caught a guy offering a sympathy date to you? How did you find out (what signals did he show)?

let me explain why guys don't really do sympathy dates, it's simple really

when you go on a date, it is normally the guy who pays, sympathy or not. to go on a sympathy date is paying for something you don't want to do, with someone you don't have the same feelings for, not good at all.

girls can go on sympathy dates, there isn't really any down side for you guys, normally you don't pay so it's kind of free fun just not with someone you have feelings for.

What if the girl pays just because she doesn't want to feel like a moocher?

It bugs the hell out of me because I'm beating guys off with a bat and the one guy I show interest in is doing this mixed signals junk.

So I've decided not ask him out to anything after the date we had tonight. However, if he calls me to hang out (other then something sexual) is it because he really wants to? Or just feels obligated.

If he does call you to hang out, this usually means he is interested in you. (as long as it's not sexual) Or he's trying to keep his options open.

Not that he has no interest in you but some guys like to go on a lot of dates before committing to anything. But there's also the possibility that he's only in it for the sex.

Funny enough I don't want a "relationship" pre se, but I want the physical! I rather do it with a guy who isn't sleeping with every girl on campus. :|
