like is their a type of person you'd say each of those to?would they have to be particularly close?

Depends on the type or how close I am with the person.

Boo - Boyfriend

Dear - Rarely use this one, I would use for close friend

Hon - Close friend

Love - Rarely use this one but I would use it for close friend or boyfriend

Babe/Baby - Boyfriend only

Boy - Close friend who I'm interested in

yeah, I'm a big dear, sugar, hun person regardless of gender, but if I assign you a unique nickname/pet name I like you a little extra, especially if I use it to tease you :)

It could be that you're friends. All of my female friends call me one of those names, even though we've never and will never have sex/date. It means you're close for sure, and usually the girl is a really friendly person and comfortable with you.

it depends on the girl , none of those words get used that often I find , but my conversations not with girls I'm dating just girls I know or just meeting
