How do I find a guy whos not a Soyboy?

I always go for very effeminate men. Kinda shy and awkward, funny and caring at first glance. I want someone who likes the same stuff as me like indie music, travelling, art, food etc. But the only guys who kinda fit this criteria always end up being the same. They are always extremely Liberal, feminist who'd probably see it as rape to ask me for my phone number. I'll give them a chance and tell myself they'll grow out of it but they are usually delusional and think they are right about everything and they always end up being psychos.

I myself am very open minded but I'm definitely more right leaning and I'm usually civil with liberals and most my friends are leftys too but I'm in the closet about my political views with them and I don't think I could ever bring myself to date a liberal, I just see them as brain wash delusional, naive people sorry with I've triggered some Soyboys but it's just personally how I feel.

While I cannot say I have the answer, I can sort of relate.

I desire a strong, independent woman who is a bit more of a leader in her approach to things, someone who views me as an equal and as being above or below her.

Someone who has her own life and her own goals, who would not hesitate to whip me back in line if I ever need it, yet is almost like a mother in a way.

Yet it seems that the only types I always run into, are either the liberal, man-hating feminists who think that men are the scum of the earth, or the submissive housewife (no offense.)

It is very difficult trying to find the kind of woman I seek, so I at least know a little of what you are going through.

The only thing I can think though is to keep looking, I know it is difficult but there are some people who do not fit into the common moulds, there is a effeminate man like you desire out there somewhere, but looking for him will be the hard part.

I don't really like Conservatives guys either very much. They tend to just act stupid, get drunk and watch football all day and feel the need to be over masculine. It's very hard to find someone who can see things from both sides.

People are complicated. I'm a Canadian so granted I have a different perspective and culture, but I think a big part of the problem is defining people in these ways. My boyfriend is masculine (6'5, muscular), watches football, drinks beer, is a feminist and environmentalist, is a Carpenter, isn't afraid to cry, has a man bun, hunts, does yoga... he isn't one thing. I can imagine he would be the kind of person you would write off as a Soyboy. Maybe loosen the labels and you'll have a better experience in dating, but more importantly, look at what you have to offer in a relationship. I'm more conservative than my boyfriend, but I don't demean him. He learns from me and I learn from him. It's a relationship- not a battle.
