I'll try to keep this brief.
There's a guy I like in one of my classes, and we and a few other friends went out for drinks. I was telling a story about a bad haircut, and then, out of nowhere he came out with 'your hair looks really good now, you're the most attractive girl in our class.' (This was in front of everybody, including one of his friends who I've heard has a crush on me, but I'm not so sure on that one.)
Before this I had pretty much no indication that he liked me...he was friendly and chatty, but that's it really, I can't tell if it is significantly different from the way he talks to other people.
Since then he has said a few times again that I look good, he calls me sweetheart, and I catch him looking at me but that's it... I've tried to show more interest, but I'm not really getting much back. Maybe I'm just really bad at flirting, ha ha.
What's going on with this guy? Does he like me?

I am still really confused! Sometimes, this guy seems like he could be into me...like he'll make a lot of effort to talk to me personally about things. Other times, no effort at all. I still catch him looking at me (I think) but no significant progress.

Also, his friend (the one I mentioned before) is flirting with me a LOT, even though I do not return the signals.
