That does vary, even in crazy ways. Back in Southeast Asia ('the Philippines', specifically), skin-whitening creams are multi-million peso industry as the naturally darker-skinned try to beautify themselves to have whiter skin. Meanwhile here in the U. S. (where the majority are White), skin-tanning (& fake skin-tanning) are the thing, since the Whites don't want to look to pale.

We vary by genetics (possessed genes) & epigenetics (which specific genes are turned on/off), and this can result in different features… and side effects. For example, less fat can also result in smaller bust-size, a more common concern among Asian women… who also share a higher risk for breast-cancer

If its current state doesn't negative affect your health (the central issue), then it aesthetic preference, which varies by culture, even individuals.

If it is affecting both your physical-health & self-esteem, then there are solutions. For example, 1 option is fasting, which you're already doing as your default state. Whenever you're not eating, you are technically fasting.

It's duration that's the issue. (Keep it ≤24hr.'s, like 16-18hr.'s, since you're still developing. And avoid eating near bed-time.) You can eat the same amount of calories & nutrients, just reduce the frequency of meal-times. Every time you eat, your boost insulin levels, which signals your body to store the extra calories into fat. The key is to reduce those insulin-spikes, so the body uses-up its internal energy-reserves (fat & glycogen, stored-form of the glucose the body directly uses for energy). This way, you have a reasonable window for enjoying meals & nourishing yourself, while giving you body maximum time/day to burn fat/glycogen reserves. But fit fasting into your life, not the other way around, or it won't be sustainable. Find what works for you.

If so, DON'T let yourself hit the unhealthy numbers. If not, use the info to reach a more healthy state. Your health is vital. And standards of beauty (even the messed-up ones) have generally aimed at boosting your appearance of health, fertility, and other things. If your health is fake, so will your 'beauty', like rotting fruit spray-painted & perfumed. Prioritize your health. That is the very point.
