Why do tall guys like short girls?

Question

My boyfriend is 6’2 and I am 5’1 I feel like a midget next to him 😂 but he thinks it’s cute i think. I constantly find myself wondering like isn’t he too tall for me or something because i’m not used to men that are that much taller than me even though it’s always a good thing for a guy to be tall lol i just feel a little awkward but i like him a lot and still find him attractive. Are there any reasons why a lot of tall guys like short girls is sex better or something or maybe they feel like they could protect her?

I’m curious too and none of the answers are really addressing the major height difference. I understand guys often like to be taller, but A Rey tall guy doesn’t need to go real short , for a woman to be shorter.

Men wanting to be taller, doesn’t explain why super tall men Will often go for super short women.

Many men end up with women a bit Shorter then them, their height, or taller.

So a guy going for over a foot difference, isn’t simply a “ guy thing”.

Now.. a possibility is guys tend to like shorter women i e around 5 ft - 5 ft 5 .. A woman between 5 ft and 5 ft 5 is that same height, whether the guy is 5 ft or 7 get himself. So the Super tall guy isn’t going after a woman over a foot shorter. He’s just going after a Woman at a height he finds attractive. Which is slightly different then wanting to be 2 feet taller.

im sure some guys really like the feeling of being two feet taller,

but that isn’t the same as, wanting to be somewhat taller

not is that the same as , finding a particular height attractive.

A 7 foot guy is going to be somewhat taller Than 6 ft 7 woman.

A 5 ft guy is going to be somewhat taller than a 4 ft 10 woman.

A 7 ft guy is going to be a LLT taller than a 6 ft Woman.. so why does he need to go for a 5 ft woman. He either likes the height difference or he likes the height.

but every guy isn’t with a woman drastically shorter.

of course a shorter guy has difficulty finding drastically shorter women. So I don't know would most men prefer to be drastically taller if they could?

pills say no. I think it’s a preference some guys have. I’m still not sure why. I’m just speculating.

But what I know is it is not simply bc men like being taller, bc

I want to know why The extreme difference is sought after. I’m very curious!! 😊

I personally I do think it looks fun. It’s never going to be me unless I meet an alien. I like Being close in height but honestly, I would like to know how it feels to be tiny compared to the guy 🤷‍♀️😊

Trust me short girl is not a preference. Obviously it's better than a very tall girl like 6'4 + but usually guys don't mind height and so they would go for a short girl not because she's short but because of who she is. At least it's that way for me and I'm 6'3

Just because I find it interesting and it's kinda relevant - there have been studies (although not very many) done on the effects of height in same-sex and opposite-sex interactions such as passing by each other in a narrow space (to see who gives way to the other) and avoid other pedestrians on a crowed street. They did find that taller people (men and women) were more likely to go first while the other gave way to them and other similar findings. But that being said, that doesn't explain why. There are biological models we can look at though that would suggest that the larger the female perceives the male to be, the more she will be interested in him, so perhaps men often like shorter women because they sense the women are more attracted to them? Although that's just a thought, no science behind it that I'm aware of.

I think it's mostly about power fantasies. It's easier to feel in control of a short girl, especually if she is shy and lacks confidence. Its very similar to having a small child with you, someone smaller who you have to protect and who you have total control/dominance over.

- throwing around sexually/bdsm
- squeezing for hugz
- small spoon cuddles

Maybe bcause a tall guy and a short girl may produce an average height human. Thus leading to variety in the species. Where as a tall guy and a tall girl may just produce another beanstalk as tall or taller than either of them. Same with a short guy and a short girl. Possibly.

Not sure why others do, but I'm tall and I don't like short girls that much. I'd prefer if a girl is closer to my height or just tall as well. I'll date someone that's short depending on how short they are. If she's a foot shorter than me or more, then I likely wouldn't date her, since the height difference would be too much for me unless I liked her a lot.

I don't know about why taller guys like shorter girls, but I know I like taller guys because I like that when I hug them they cover my whole body. And that when we kiss they have to come to me and it's super cute when I have to go up on my tip toes. And I feel more secure and protected with them. Oh and when I steal their clothes I look adorable in them bc they're all long and comfy.

Also the perfect dance partner is at least 6inches taller than you.

I, as a 6'7 tall guy, like short girls, even at your height. Why? Well in all honesty, height doesn't play such a big role in finding girl attractive or not. If I find her face, body and personality attractive, it won't matter that much if she's 5'1 or 6'2. I've dated a girl close to your height, it did look kinda funny in public but I didn't mind :)

Men don't like having their masculinity challenged by women, like how they don't like being beaten at sports, or that's always been a thing.
Women prefer taller men, probably for the same reason.

I’m 4’11 and pretty much ever guy is substantially taller than me. I tend to date taller guys. I think tall guys just find us adorable and I kind of like feeling small in their arms. I don’t know, opposites attract I guess.

I'm 6'5 and this is just me, but short girls are a turn on for me, I really like the petite body style.
I've dated a girl at 4'11 who barely came up to my chest, she said she really liked my height because it felt like I could protect her.

I might just be weird, but I prefer the shorter girls, because they make me feel big and strong when they go "oh your so tall! I bet you could carry me with one arm!" (Which I can)

I have no problems with any height of girl really, but I'm just weird.

In other words, big guys like tiny girls because tiny girls benefit from big guys the most.
