It depends on the rest of your body and face.
I like redheads. Probably because of how rarely I see them
I like a girl with pale skin and black hair.
I like a girl with brown hair that's the same colour brown as her skin, so it just blends in. it looks cool.
I like Brunettes with freckles.
I like girls with blonde hair and Dark eyes. Makes for great contrast.
I like Braided hair bound by metal clasps.
I like wispy hair thrown over to one side of the head.
I like short flipped hair.
I like emo and scene cuts with cycloptic bangs.
I like SUPER long straight hair.
I like the Zelda cut.
The list could go on.
The point is that I'm generally most enticed by what grabs my attention the most, without, of course, being TOO over-the-top.
Certain things appeal to me, others don't bit it has nothing to do with stereotypes or my own hair colour.
Often times I look at a girl's hair colour and general genetic structure and wonder "hmmm, I wonder what our kids would look like."
So no, most guys don't like blondes. It's just a common American misconception.

You see I'll be completely honest this topic for me is really difficult. In general I like dark featured woman so brunette or black hair, that being my favorite hair colour solely . However about 80 to 85 percent are brown eyed which is sexy. However for overall package a hot red or auburn with amber or green eyes is more attractive than a brunette or black with brown eyes. Now to go into detail the absolute hottest combo is black or brunette with green eyes or blue eyes (if your eyes are like Adriana limas) so ya that's me to sum it up brunettes and black are the hottest but you see more reds with pretty eyes.dark hair is to generic with eye colour because in my life and I'm 20 I've never met black hair green eyes and maybe 2 or 3 brunettes with green. Ladies as for me I am 6-2 stocky build brown hair with natural blond in it a little with blue eyes I seem to get the hot exotic types mentioned above and a lot of dark woman. They go nuts over my eyes:p and I do live in very multicultural toronto
Well looks aren't everything, but usually girls need alittle charm to at least make a guy spark (meaning you need alittle spice to make everything nice)...but of coarse everyone has different interests in attraction, you know? But guys like girls based on their personality, interests and looks...stereo type has nothing to do with it.
In My personal opinion, I don't think hair colour really matters, but that's just my opinnion, though I don't see why it even matters...Just be yourself and everything will be great- that's the main thing- don't be something your NOT.
Anyway I may not be a guy ,but I definitely know that hair colour doesn't reflect on the person and stereo type doesn't matter, hope that helped
I'm very interested in this same issue, I've found that it does vary per guy, some just put
more thought/emphasis on it than others. For a very interesting take on this subject, check

a lot of interesting tips for women from male perspective)

Through my extensive scholarly research of hot women I have come to a very definite, scientific, conclusion of hair types for you. This of course has nothing to do with the actual quality of the human being, which is far more important as I'm sure you recognize. This observation is merely objective.
I have noticed that female hottness, in regards to hair color, can be quantified and qualified.
#1. The largest majority of attractive females are blond. This could be the reason for the stereotype that blonds get for being the "preferred" hot girl. Generally speaking of course.
#2. The quantity of attractive brunettes are less, however the quality of there hottness, in general, seems to be of greater caliber; possibly due to their higher scarcity.
#3. Even more rare than this is the attractive red head. We almost never see red heads that are attractive. When we do, however, they are most certainly reserved as having the highest quality of hottness. This based off the same economic theory of scarcity. "The rarer the bird, the finer the prize"
Blondes get more attention for a verity of reasons. Maybe because they stand out more (light color), or maybe for the stereotype that they are more fun and outgoing. When we think about blondes we are almost conditioned to become more excited. I think that the attention blondes get stems from this expected hotness.
Skin tone I think can work the same way. The quantity of attractive tanned women is far higher than the quantity of attractive women with pale skin. However, being that most red heads have pale skin, I would argue that the quality is inverse to it's quantity; once again based on the theory of scarcity.
Does this help?Well, I prefer brunettes. But, I look at women equally frequently regardless of hair color. A famous someone from years ago once said "Gentlemen prefer blondes, but they MARRY brunettes!." Personally, I think it is a stereotype about preferring blondes. In fact, most men I speak with about it prefer brunettes. What I can say, is that a natural blond beats a bleach job any day and that I notice the blond hair quicker over the brunette, but in the long run, brunettes more often than not get my fancy.
Lastly, I love brunettes that lighten their hair with blond streaks. OMG, that'll get me any day. HOT, HOT, HOT!I like women more for who they are than the color hair they have. A lot of times if asked to choose one color over the others I sometimes say redheads but its more the person that attracts me to someone than their hair color.
I like brunettes. A blondie doesn't make my heart crumble; stereotypes don't mean anything to me. My hair is brown so I guess you could say that's what I'm comfortable with.
I've always liked red heads, that's was dose it for me .Reds seem to have more personality
I think guys base the preference upon stereotypes. I don't know why, but it's kinda lame.
i love brunettes with dark skin, ill go for a brunette over a blonde any day
