Basically, I befriended a guy recently and we both seem to enjoy hanging out a lot, I think the best way to describe it is a friends with benefits situation at the moment.
And... Simply put, I really like him a lot; but I haven’t been very open about it, mostly because I can’t really get a read on his behavior and I don’t want to get hurt.
The first few times I hung out with him he was really a bit flirtatious, and would say a lot of sweet things (I’ll miss you, you’re really pretty, hugging me as soon as I came over, etc. stuff like that); however the last couple times he’s been what I could best describe as more reserved or even a bit nervous - although he generally comes across as very confident - he and I still have amazing sex, that didn’t change, but aside from that, it almost feels like I make him a little nervous now and I don’t understand why. He gave me a long hug and kiss before I left the last time I saw him recently but he seems more quiet now and careful with what he says.
I thought maybe he was losing interest but he still wants me to come over and spend time with him; when we hang out we talk for hours and get along really well.
For example, today I cancelled plans as I was feeling unwell, he has been busy so I suggested maybe next week; but he came back and said tomorrow or Friday would work (as soon as possible, basically)...
How should I approach this? Should I open up about how I feel? I am scared he will be freaked out if I do. Thanks and sorry for the lengthy details.
