What does it mean when guy is humming a song when you both are alone?

My guy friend has been acting differently since last year. We're close friends. Only two of us go for lunch or cafe few times a month. Many times I heard him humming songs when we're alone. When people are sitting in nearby booths, he keeps his humming low enough so that only I can hear it.
Does it mean something?

There can be 3 meanings

1. He want to say something but dont have the guts to do it and hoping you get it in the song

2. He feels really comfortable around you

3. He is bored

Is he normally someone who talk about his feelings? is he a shy person?

I don't know about the 1st option. But he does feel comfortable & never gets bored of me.
He's the only friend I have, he got hundreds of friends. Once he said that he can be himself around me & he can share his thoughts without any filter.

On my birthday he posted - "The one unique friend to whom I'm able to communicate most comfortably & the only person who respects me & understands me in the best way"

Since last year he's been caring too much about me. Once he offered me his coat in summer afternoon, wich is kind of weird. It was 34°C outside. Also he tells me to watch my steps while walking on uneven surface. He drives for 40-45 minutes to come to my town to have a burger or coffee with me. Even now when he's tired form his sales job & he still wants to come here.

He never really talked about "the" feelings, but this bond reached to the point where we share everything happens during the day & we know almost everything about eachother.
He tells me how was his day or his experience. He tells me what he learned from those experiences so that I can be prepared for it if it happens with me too.
Today his boss told him to wear a tie, so he asked me if I can do it. Next time he'll bring ties that he'll be wearing for a week for me to pre-tie it for him.

Some of our classmates used to say that we act like a married couple & made fun of us. We just laughed out awkwardly, but right now while I'm making this list - it does seem weird. 😅

I don't know. But from the entire experience, I do have many doubts. I don't know wheather he have feelings for me or not. 😅
