Is it weird to ask a guy if he thinks his mother would like you?

Not by a long shot! You'd better be able to get along with his mother. It's funny that movies and TV shows make it seem that men and their mother in law have contentious relationships. Every woman I've been involved with has had a wonderful mother. No, its the mother/daughter in law relationship that is a problem. When you serve him scrambled eggs for breakfast, the first thing he'll notice is if your eggs are a good as his mother's! If you're in tight with mom, your in a good position. My god, my own mother still talks about a woman I dated 20 years ago who she liked.

Id simply say you want to meet his mom. Don't muddy the message by asking something different- communicate clearly and directly.

Depends on how long you have been talking. Personally I’d let him start a conversation about his mother before I suggest that, if this isn’t a relationship yet. If it’s a relationship, then go for it. Personally if he’s a family person his mother is most likely the most important person in his life and that will dictate whether he wants to date you or not.

He and I are friends but I met him years ago at a place where he works. I would always see him a t the store and we'd talk finally I gave him my number. And there were times when he'd mentioned his mother and sister. Like he'd say him and her were going out etc. And when we hung out he mentioned her as well.

I'm not really sure why it makes a difference. He has talked to my parents before because they met him where he works.

Well I know most guys mother have the highest importance in their life so I think him personally going out of his way to make meeting his mother is important but I think the hinting at meeting his mom is weird.
