What does it mean when a guy introduces you to his parents?

My boyfriend introduced me to his mom three weeks into our relationship and on our second official date. Does this mean he's actually serious about me. We have sort of dated before or rather we were having sex it was more of a friends with benefits thing. And now he's saying he wants to take things serious. by the way I'm 18 he's 17

It means he wants to move the relationship along. It may mean he wants to exclusively date you or he just wants you to know him better by meeting his family.

I would only do that if I was extremely serious, but I'd never do that 3 weeks into dating. It's more like a year at least.

Yes a guy won't take a girl home to meet the parents if he isn't serious. They know they can't just bring anyone home and that it has to be a special person

It's unusual for a 17 year old guy to take things seriously. But he may be that rare one that does and if you feel the same you should go for it.
