Can guys/girls feel their partner's heartbeat during a hug?

I've never hugged anyone for a long period of time or had a tight hug. I'm worried about my ldr boyfriend feeling my heartbeat when we hug for the first time 🙈

Unless you are chest against chest in a very tight hug, you are not likely to feel the heartbeat of the other person.

If you press your head against the neck, you may feel the vertebral arteries or the internal carotid arteries running to the brain. But if you are not too emotional and your blood pressure does not rise too much, you should not feel much of a heartbeat.

Hmm this seems like a strange / interesting fear. That said no you generally can’t feel this - maybe if it was really pounding? But I’ve never felt it from a hug - just with my hand

Why would you worry about that? Worry about having fresh breath, or something else that actually matters.
