Does the reason why a guy is acting like a jerk matter?

If you see a guy acting like a jerk in public how would you feel about him? What if he was acting like that to protect a loved one? Do you still judge him negatively if the guy is fighting for someone else?

It's okay to protect someone you love, but use violence only when you must. Do not use it unnecessarily. Like, if you can solve the issue without violence its nice, but if you have to use violence to protect someone, then okay. If a guy is acting like a jerk for no reason, then I'd assume that he has nothing better to do than be rude to people for no reason at all. In short, yes, if there's a valid reason, then its cool.

Yea, I mean he should be able to control his temper, without getting mad. This would tell me that the dude is extremely short-tempered, overreactive and emotional

If i didn't know and he randomly lashes out ill just assume he’s a pretty angry person. If i knew it was for a good reason then yeah id think it was justified. Just my opinion

I agree you can’t make assumptions. Just as a guy I have this gut instinct to protect and may not always be respectful
