Do people really get uncomfortable around ugly people even if they don't pose a threat?

Every single neighbor/classmate I had always felt uncomfortable/distressed/awkward when around me

Even when it turned out I lack

Charm
Game
Stroke game

I'm not well endowded nor am I charming in the least & yet people still don't feel at ease around me

Id assume my weaknesses would make them much more cocky & comfortable around but they still feel distressed when around me
Do people really get uncomfortable around ugly people even if they don't pose a threat?
