I would like to get a guy a little more and kind of break the ice a bit. I was thinking of sending him random funny videos / memes but wasn’t sure if guys think that it’s weird lol.

personally, I very rarely am glad that someone directly sent me a random funny meme or video. I feel obliged to reply or acknowledge it but I don't feel like dropping what I'm doing whenever someone wants me to look at a funny cat or something. It can be fun to hear about something that you did recently or something that happened today, just talking about yourself or asking about me. It's a nice way to get to know each other, feel a little closer, and make me feel like you enjoy my company. Good luck with this guy 👍

Humor is weird. That's why people usually cringe at aunt's facebook memes.

I would recommend first learning what type of humor he likes. Maybe make him send you a funny video, so you can see what he considers funny.

As a conversation topic, most people like to talk about themselves, so ask him about his hobbies, get interested in what he likes. Obviously this has to be reciprocated, so try not doing all the conversation.

I was planning on sending a video that I personally find funny, but I’m not sure if he will laugh as much as I did.
