Why would a guy friend get jealous seeing you talk to other guys?

He has a girlfriend and he has expressed this jealousy many times even verbally and it's not just this, he keeps staring at me a lot when I'm not looking and quickly looks away when I catch him. Sometimes he doesn't care that I know he's staring. He also tries to make me jealous sometimes. His behavior seems very obsessive with me. He also tried to kiss me once and got really close to me in front of everyone.

Well, if you want him just as a friend, you gotta tell him that clearly. If he can't handle, that's on him. If you want to pursue a possible relationship with him, you should let him know.

Actually I was never interested in him, I do find him attractive so since he keeps coming on to me so much I feel like (I'm not sure) that I'm also getting feelings for him now. Like I get jealous at the thought of him being with another girl or when he tries to make me jealous I do in fact get jealous.

Why not try a date and see if anything develops? Talk openly and honestly, you're friends that shouldn't be a problem.

When his behavior was getting too possessive and when he tried to get intimate with me in front of everyone I got a little upset and I told him I don't want to talk him he got hurt and upset (I didn't tell him the reason why) but I guess he understood. But still he keeps trying to talk to me and finds excuses to do it. Again he's starting to behave possessively with me.

It's not good being overly possessive or jealous so i get that. He's feeling that way because he wanted more. Otherwise, he wouldn't care who you talked to. I don't like overly possessive either. You have to decide to let it be no or to try a date. Up to you.

Sounds like you don't want to. If you had feelings, you would want to explore them further. If he's being possessive and controlling, then yes, tell him you're not interested and you don't want him to act this way. It probably won't turn out well though but it's best if you're wanting to be with other people.

Like I said I'm confused about whether I want something with him or not. I do get jealous at the thought of him being with other girls and I do miss him when he's not around sometimes. I don't know what to do.
