Let's work this through...
Part of me wants to say the 50s guy, because it's the oldest and most different. Seems like you'd get some surface formalness, with some debauchery more deeply buried. I'd either really like or really dislike that guy. There was more etiquette and protocol back then, I'm thinking. But otoh, what if it was just for show, and they didn't really mean it. I'd want the respectful kind, not the disrespecting one. Seems like a bit of a gamble.
Well, then I saw the medieval one. He's definitely the most different though. That language sounds tantalizing. I could get into that for a bit.
90s guy sounds right at home to me. I grew up then and it would probably feel very comfortable, just like an old comfy pair of jeans or that beloved leather jacket.
80s is a no thank you. Too flashy, too over the top. I'm not proud of that generation or time. I was busy playing with my animals then, out in the yard and whatnot. They were probably better company.
60s and 70s were too loose for me. I was never into free love and all that. I imagine a lot of cheesy pickup lines too.
I'd do a spin--the-wheel, maybe, if there was one. Interesting odds.
But if forced to choose just one, I guess I'd go for the 90s guy. I miss those jeans and leather. Now that I know it was all going to be all right, I'd have even more fun with it. And I think that era had a decent mix of modernism and tradition. Like Goldilocks' bed, it was neither too rigid nor too unthethered.

An 80s woman might be interesting. Well, I was a kid in the 80s so all my early crushes were on 80s women, like Jennifer Beals in Flashdance:

Some of the 80s fashion was so wild but I found lots of the women in the 80s looking and acting very sensual and womanly, not girly. Also, what happened to the 80s aerobics leotards? I thought they were very sexy.

The 70s also appeals to me but it's a generation I'm very unfamiliar with. With an 80s woman, maybe we can watch lots of 80s films and listen to lots of 80s songs together. I love 80s stuff!

Kind of a similar thing with the 60s. That era seems a bit too crazy though for my tastes. I don't want to date a hippie, for example. The 80s is more my kind of crazy. A woman from the 50s might be a bit too traditional for my tastes. With the 90s and onward, I started to feel like the girly type was becoming more popular over the womanly type. I always preferred the womanly type.

As far as the Middle Ages, I don't think I'd even be able to talk to her. I don't think we'd understand each other at all.

Man, this woman is emotionally tortured inside. She gives me angst watching her. But I do think Rose is doing a great job with it.

But wow has she got a wicked side. That inner voice of hers is like a toxic waste spill. But I think you'll find it very interesting. My husband said, "Wow, is this really what it's like being a woman, what goes on inside your heads?" I just shook my head. Some of them. Some of us sometimes."

Right, exactly, overwhelming. That's how I found it. We stopped after two episodes I think. Might go back and try another though. She will become emboldened by her new business venture, and I'm wondering if that will make her less tortured inside.

I can't say what's inside her head is typical of all women. But this is deep, deeply personal, insider information. If she wasn't so angst-ridden (and, yes, that pours out onto you watching it - made me tired after), then in some ways it is a lot of information/thinking to be privy to. The show contrasts what she says to others vs. what she's really thinking inside. And it is dark.

@AmandaYVR I've known some women almost that extreme as far as I could tell from the outside, although I never got to hear their innermost thoughts out loud. It kind of makes me feel like a paranoid woman for a moment. Very stressful! But I think I'd really enjoy this show, and maybe in small doses at a time.
