There's this guy in my school who stares at me everyday after school for 2 months and after the summer he started ignoring me. what do you think?

I remember everyday after school while waiting to go home this guy from one of my classes would stare at me while talking to his friends, and i looked at him back at times too and we make eye contact and i break it off first. during the summer, I texted him asking about rando skl stuff and we're good friends now. but now after school started he acts as if I dont exist and he doesn't talk to me in skl but on text. It feels more one sided from me now
