Why would he suddenly unfriend me on both Instagram and Snapchat?

Me and this guy were talking and getting to know each other etc. He hinted he wanted a relationship with me. He called me cutie, babe, sent lots of kisses and he invited me to a hotel with him. I didn’t do the hotel plan because I told him it was too soon in our relationship. The hotel thing was 2 weeks ago. Since then, he’s been looking at my Snapchat and Instagram stories very happily. Today I log on to both platforms and I saw he’d unfriended me on both things. He gave definite hints he wanted a relationship with me and then he does this. I’m really upset about it. Why do u think he’s done this? Any opinions?
